You're from Texas if....
You can properly pronounce Corsicana, Decatur, Nacogdoches, Wichita Falls, San Antonio, MEXIA, Waco, and Amarillo.
You think that people who complain about the wind in their states are sissies.
A tornado-warning siren is your signal to go out in the yard and look for a funnel.
You've ever had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day.
You know that the true value of a parking space is not determined by the distance to the door, but by the availability of shade.

Stores don't have bags they have sacks.
You think everyone from a bigger city has an accent.
Little Smokies are something you serve only for special occasions.
You go to the lake because you think it is like going to the ocean.
You listen to the weather forecast before picking out an outfit.
You know cow pies are not made of beef.
Someone you know has used a football schedule to plan his or her wedding date.
You have known someone who has had one belt buckle bigger than your fist.
You aren't surprised to find movie rental, ammunition, and bait all in the same store.
A Mercedes Benz is not a status symbol. A Ford F350 4x4 is.
You know everything goes better with Ranch.
You actually get these jokes and are "fixin' " to send them to your friends.
Finally, you are 100% Texan if you have ever heard this conversation: "You wanna coke?" "Yeah." "What kind?" "Dr. Pepper."

I am a Texan and proud of it!!!!! Wooooodoggie!!!!!

Last night I went to the 311 concert here in Dallas and all I have to say was that it was freaking awesome.  I mean they really rocked it.  Unwritten Law was the first band and they were pretty decent.  Papa Roach was soooooooo good.  The lead singer jumped off the stage and started walking up and down the aisles.  Then 311 came out and opened with Freak Out.  That got the crowd jumping.  I think I hurt something while I jumping.  They played such an aray of songs it was great.  They played my favorite Hydroponic, Omaha Stylee (which I had never heard live before), and the Hive.  They ended with Feels So Good and Nick dived into the audience which I have never seen him do.  They didn't play too many new songs, maybe like 3.  That is all right with me, the vibe was totaally awesome.  Awesome!!!!!!

HEY ALL!!!!!

How is life treating y'all.  I got back okay.  I have moved to North Dallas, nearby downtown Dallas.  Unfortunately, this means that I am not able to attend New Hope.  The drive is like 45 minutes.  You guys probably already heard.  I am still going to write here, now that I have internet in my apartment, and I have aim.  My aim name is sorraya79.  Hopefully we can keep in touch.  If you know of any good churches up here, let me know.

311 will be here on the 11th of September.  SCORE!!!!

Keep in touch

Renee'

Hey,

I am coming home this Sunday night.  I will be arriving in Dallas at 9:00pm.  The sucky part is that I have to be at work at 8:00 in the morning the very next day.  I am having mixed feelings about coming home.  I want to come home so that I can sleep in my own bed and eat good MExican food and family and friends.  But I don't want to leave because the experience I have had here was great.

Anyway, this past weekend I almost died, well not really but I thought I was.  We went jetboating on Lake Champlain in Montreal.  For those who have not been jetboating it is where they put like 50 people on a boat and go out to the rapids of Lake Champlian and purposely drive right into the waves.  Now these are not like the ones at Hurricane Harbor, they are like walls of water and it feels like you are in a washing machine.  I was terrifed the whole time.  I could not breath, because when I did it was nothing but water.  It lasted for 30 excrutciating minutes.

Tomorrow is the kids last day of class and tomorrow we are going for a Pizza Party Cruise around the lake here.  Then on Friday we have a BBQ, talent show, awards show, and slide show.  I believe that I am getting a copy of the slide so if any of y'all would like to see it let me know.  THe kids leave Saturday, so we are going to party Saturday night.  Then I apck and come home Sunday.  Please pray that I will have a safe trip home.

Until then

Hey everyone,

It has been a while since I last wrote.  I hope that everyone is doing well.  Vermont is crazy cool.  I have had so much fun while I have been up here.  The weather is a bit unpredicatable, but what can ya do.  I have the most beautiful moutain ranges, they are so beautiful.  Montreal was cool, all we did was walk around, we are going again this weekend to go Jet boating.  I have no idea what that is but everyone says that it is fun.  This past weekend we went to Boston, and I believe that I am going to have to move there.  We went Boston Univeristy, Tuffts University, and of course Harvard University.  It was so surreal standing in the middle of Harvard and looking at all of the buildings and knowing who went there and the knowledge that has been passed around there.  The coolest thing was the chess games that occured in Harvard Square.  There are tables with a chess game board on them and people come and play and a mob of people come to just watch.  Well, I guess that that is all see y'all in about 2 weeks.  Holla!!!!
